At the heart of The Hot Air Affair is a mission much bigger than balloons.
The event benefits the Cancer Association of Anderson, the only local cancer charity serving Anderson County. Through treatment-related financial assistance, emotional support, guidance, referrals, and practical resources, the organization helps local patients and families navigate one of life’s most difficult journeys.

Join us on Saturday, September 5, 2026, during the Hot Air Affair for the Lift Off in Color 5K Color Run & Walk! Registration opens at 6:00 PM, with the welcome and warm-up beginning at 6:15 PM and the 5K starting at 6:30 PM. The evening will wrap up with the Warrior Walk at 8:00 PM. Pre-register for $30 by August 21, or register after the deadline for $35.
